Reports: FIFA Investigating Madrid’s Transfer Business

FIFA are reportedly investigating Spanish giants, Real Madrid, over their signings of minors during the last five years.
The football mother body, which banned Real Madrid’s rivals FC Barcelona for irregularities in their transfer activities with minors, have now switched their focus to Los Blancos.
Spanish paper AS reports to have seen documents "initiating the investigation, classified as strictly confidential".
“FIFA have requested from the Spanish Football Federation all the documentation relating to under-age players who play for clubs with which Real Madrid have collaboration agreements. There are 22 such clubs in the Madrid Autonomous Region alone,” say AS.
FIFA have reportedly requested the documentation from the Spanish Federation in a letter dated 17 December, which was passed on to the clubs 48 hours later.
According to AS, Madrid’s lawyers examined the necessary documents which were supposed to be sent to Zurich by 14 January.
The investigation conincides with Real Madrid’s signing of a couple of youngsters, including Norwegian 16-year-old starlet, Martin Odegaard.
Just like in Barcelona’s case, where the Catalan club has been banned from making any transfer until 2016, FIFA has been tipped off by anonymous sources - according to AS.
“In FIFA’s letter demanding information from the Spanish Federation, the governing body states it wishes to ‘establish the facts’, indicating that the process likely comes on the back of a complaint from a person or persons, who at the moment remain anonymous,” the report concluded.
