FC Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, is so good he needs to be double-checked for doping.
It may sounds strange, but the Argentine confirmed that of five players, which were tested on Monday, he was the only one who had to do a urine and a blood test.
Following the tests, Messi posted a picture on Instagram, saying: “Doping (test) day. Of the 5 chosen, I was the only one who did urine and blood. Unusual, no?”
The doping test came just one day after the 27-year-old scored another hat trick in La Liga.
He has recently broken the La Liga and the Champions League all-time records and seems to be back to his best.
Whether it is rectified or not, it appears that Spanish doping authorities want to make sure the Argentine doesn’t bolster his game by any forbidden substances.
However, Messi seems to take the double testing with a pinch of humor and seems to be used to this type of situation.
