Can Real Madrid Break The Champions League Curse?

Real Madrid have cruised through the Champions League so far and are keen to defend their title from last year, but can they break the competition curse?
Los Blancos are the fifth team to manage this achievement, but no-one has ever gone on to lift the trophy afterwards.
Here is what happened with the previous teams:
AC Milan 1992/1993: Milan breezed through a group made up of Göteborg, Porto and PSV. Milan reached the final, but lost 1-0 to Marseille.
Paris Satin-Germain 1994/1995: Two seasons later, PSG repeated the same feat of winning every group-stage game, winning all their matches against Bayern, Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Kyiv, but Parisian outfit bowed out in the semi-finals against AC Milan.
CSKA Moscow 1995/1996: CSKA repeated the stunt achieved by Milan and PSG in a group in which it outclassed Legia Warsaw, Rosenborg and Blackburn Rovers. Their adventure ended in the quarter-finals, when they were knocked out by Nantes.
Barcelona 2002/2003: Lokomotiv Moscow, Brugge and Galatasaray were the three teams that got beaten by Barcelona. However, Juventus put an end to the Spanish club's European run in the quarter-finals.
Real Madrid 2011/2012: Real Madrid produced their best group stage against Lyon, Ajax, and Dinamo Zagreb, but José Mourinho's side lost to Bayern Munich on penalties in the semi-finals.
