Manchester city boss disappointed-with 1-1 champions league draw vs roma

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has confessed that his side were not good enough after their 1-1 Champions League draw against AS Roma at the Etihad last night, Mirror reports.
The Citizens went one up early through a Sergio Aguero penalty, but a brilliant chip by Roma’s 38-year-old captain Francesco Totti levelled the tie in the 23rd minute.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini will now be anxious over qualifying for the knock-out stages, with City have been knocked out twice in the last three group stages.
“I think that a point playing at home is never good, but we were also playing against a very strong team in a very good moment,” said the City boss.
“We didn’t play well, especially in the first half. Maybe we were not accurate in our passing and when we lost too many balls we did not have enough midfielders to recover. I think the biggest problem was that we missed many easy passes.
“We must continue fighting for the next points and we will see which teams qualify for the next round.
“It depends on how we play in the next game. We have just one point from six, but we are just three points behind Roma so we hope we can win our next game in Russia.
“We have 12 more points to fight for and we will fight to the end to try to qualify.”
The Premier League champions do however face CSKA Moscow – home and away – in their next two fixtures, with the Russia outfit already succumbing to a 5-1 loss to Roma and then a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
