Robin van Persie Is Unsure Over His Manchester United Future
Netherlands captain Robin Van Persie has revealed that he is not sure what the future holds for him at Manchester United.
Van Persie, who has failed to score since Boxing Day, currently has 18 months left of his current contract, but admits that he is unsure whether he will get a contract extension after 2016.
The Dutchman insists that all he can do is wait and see whether he will get an extension, as he cannot see into the near future.
"It is not up to me. For the moment I am staying here for 18 months,” he told theTelegraph.
"I can't look into the future. I don't know what is going to happen after that. We shall have to wait and see."
The 31-year-old also shared his views about Louis Van Gaal and believes that he is the right man for the job at Old Trafford.
"I've known him for over two years and I know how he works," Van Persie added.
"Every year I still believe in him, we work together.
"We are trying everything we can to win games, but not only that, we want to do it in a nice way as well. That is a process and in that process we have to be honest and give everything we can."
Van Persie has made 21 appearances for Manchester United so far this season and has scored eight goals.
