The Fan Park Crew have decided to turn their attention to Arsenal and its players. Arsene Wenger is usually one that doesn’t like spending money even though the squad is in dire need of fresh faces. Today, we have decided to take a look at five players that Arsenal should be thinking of getting rid of at the end of this season.
Wojciech Szczesny
The Polish keeper is someone you either like or dislike at the club, but is often at the heart of many defensive errors for Arsenal. He has been at the club for quite some time now, but unfortunately the amount of errors haven’t decreased at all. David Ospina is now at the club and definitely has the potential to keep the gloves full time.
Nacho Monreal
The Spaniard really has taken to life in the English Premier League all too well and it seems if it wasn’t for injuries in the squad he wouldn’t really be starting. Monreal came from Valencia in La Liga, but seem like the physicality in England has been a bit too much for him. He also doesn’t posses great pace, something that is needed in a full-back.
Abou Diaby
What is there to say about Diaby? The Frenchman has been plagued with injuries throughout his career and it’s safe to say he has cost Arsenal more money than anybody else. Diaby has only made at total of 30 appearances in five season’s for the club. It’s probably a good time for to think of getting rid of him.
Joel Campbell
Joel Campbell had a wonder season in the Champion’s League with Olympiakos and then followed it up with a very successful World Cup. The Costa Rican star just hasn’t been given enough chances to shine for Arsenal and it might be a good time for him to start looking for another club if he wants to take his footballing career to another level.
Mikel Arteta
Arteta has been a wonderful servant for the club, and sadly for him, he has been played out of position since arriving. The Spaniard was never blessed with great pace, but knows how to dictate play when on the ball. Arteta has been forced to play as a holding midfielder under Arsene Wenger and it really seems to have hampered his form. With Arsenal looking for a new holding midfielder his time could be up at the club.
