Real Madrid and Wolfsburg book places in last eight with wins over Roma and Gent respectively

James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo netted in the second half for Zidane's side

Real Madrid made Roma pay for wasted opportunities as they secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the sixth season in a row with a 2-0 win at the Bernabeu.
The Italians needed to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg, but created enough chances during the first half to be at least on level terms as Edin Dzeko and Mohamed Salah both missed when played clear through on goal.
And eventually Madrid made the breakthrough when in-form Cristiano Ronaldo scored from close range after 64 minutes, with James Rodriguez adding a quick second to end any hopes of a recovery.

Wolfsburg 1-0 Gent
Wolfsburg booked their expected place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in their history as Andre Schurrle's late goal earned them an unconvincing 1-0 home win over Gent.
The simple finish, created by a fine surge into the area by Julian Draxler, sealed a 4-2 aggregate success, but this was not a performance to instil fear in the other sides left in the competition.
The Germans struggled to break down their hard-working opponents for long periods and it was not until the 74th minute that Draxler, the scorer of two goals in the first leg, provided the inspiration to unlock the door.
The goal was Schurrle's fourth in eight days after his hat-trick against Hannover.
