Korea DPR Through To The Last 16 Of U17 WC

A round-up of Monday's action from the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Costa Rica 1-2 Korea DPR

An enthralling final few minutes at the Estadio Chinquihue saw Korea DPR score a 93rd-minute winner, putting the AFC champions through to the Round of 16 at the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Korea qualify for the knockout stage as one of the top third-placed sides, while Costa Rica also go through as they finished in second place in Group E.

It was a tight contest with very little between the two teams, but Korea did well to score an early goal through Pak Yong Gwan.

In the 84th minute, Sergio Ramierez headed a corner kick back across goal for Diego Mesen to score into an empty net and equalise for Costa Rica.

The game was not done, though, as Jong Chang Bom scored Korea's winner with mere seconds of the final whistle.

Korea will meet Mali in the Round of 16, while Costa Rica are set to face European champions France.
