Swansea manager Garry Monk has slammed Stoke City midfielder Victor Moses for his penalty-winning ‘dive’ in Sunday’s Premier League clash, Express reports.
The former Chelsea ace went down after a soft challenge from Angel Rangel, with Charlie Adam scoring the subsequent spot kick to tie the game at 1-1.
Stoke however went on to win the game via a Jon Walters header, and Monk was furious with the incident that brought the Potters back into the game.
Monk said regarding Moses: “It was so blatant, so obvious. He should be punished. He is cheating. He has cheated the ref.
“It is a disgusting decision. How the referee couldn’t see it as a blatant dive is beyond me. Moses should be ashamed of himself. This is what some players want to do. I have to live with that.
“Their bench just looked at me. The referee is the only guy who thought it a penalty. It changed the game.
“Moses should be ashamed. I wouldn’t be able to show my face to my family if I had done that. It is a disgrace and he should be punished heavily.
“We fine our players for simulation. I would not play my player in the next game for doing that.”
