Robin van Persie beat off competition from Mesut Ozil and Luis Suarez to top the Premier League shirt sales chart for the second year running.
Stats from the Premier League Season Review 2013/14 revealed the Dutch striker once again proved to be the most popular name for fans to get on the back of their shirts after his performances inspired Manchester United to league glory the previous year.
Despite arriving for £42million on transfer deadline day, Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil could only come fifth in the chart, behind Liverpool hero Steven Gerrard and the now-Barcelona striker Luis Suarez.
Shinji Kagawa is a shock name on the list at nine, while Juan Mata’s £38m mid-season switch to United gained him a place at no.8.
