Former Nigeria captain Jay-Jay Okocha has backed the current Super Eagles squad to shine at the World Cup in Brazil in June this year.
The African Champions have been drawn in Group F alongside two-time winners Argentina, newcomers Bosnia & Herzegovina and Middle Eastern giants Iran.
Okocha, however, believes the Super Eagles have nothing to lose in Brazil and is confident they will play well provided they have faith in their abilities.
“It’s just for them to believe in themselves, have good preparations and the most important thing is that they don’t have anything to lose and they can only gain.

“Once they play with confidence I have no doubt they will do well,” the 40-year-old said. The former Bolton Wanderers man added that the squad’s warm-up matches taking place in the United States shortly before the tournament will serve as the perfect preparation for the players.
“Playing the three friendly matches against Greece, USA and Scotland may be enough to knock the players to competitive mood and match fitness.
“I am happy the Nigeria Football Federation with the blessing of the Coach (Stephen Keshi) was able to arrange these three matches. It will definitely go a long way in preparing the team for the (World Cup) task ahead.”
