“Enemies within are sabotaging my efforts”- Super Eagles Coach Keshi

Coach for rent, Stephen Keshi has controversially revealed that there are elements in Nigerian football sabotaging his efforts, as he claims there are enemies within the football circle trying to bring him and his team down.
Keshi’s comment comes at a time when the criticism of the team’s performance during the qualifying process of the 2015 AFCON continues to grow louder. In a chat with footballlive.ng, the former Mali and Togo boss stressed that coaching the national team is a tough job.
“It’s tough where a lot of people are trying to sabotage what you are doing; I mean these are the same set of players that I used in qualifying for the world cup and nations cup. We won the nations cup and almost 90 per cent of the players are here but what is going on right now is that some people are ready to sell this nation for a dime and they don’t care what consequences that comes after it”
“They just want to make sure this team doesn’t go anywhere; they just want to run it down. They want to sabotage the super eagles and make a lot of Nigerians unhappy and there are thinking oh, it’s Keshi but Keshi is going to leave; I am a professional and I will get a job elsewhere”
“I want to give everything I have but it’s not a do or die affair and it’s a shame that so many of them; they know themselves; I don’t want to mention names but they don’t want this team to go anywhere but they are not God”
