Man Utd to offer Cristiano Ronaldo £300,000-per-week for Old Trafford return

Reports claim United chiefs are preparing a bumper contract in addition to a £60m transfer fee to loosen Real Madrid’s grip on their coveted winger. Ronaldo currently earns £290,000-a-week, but could consider a move away from the Bernabeu to manoeuvre yet another salary increase. William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said:

“Ronaldo has started to see the world’s best players overtake his salary and he may have to move next summer in order to restore parity.

” However Ronaldo’s next destination remains somewhat of a mystery, and despite United’s much publicised interest, the race could feature wealthy French side Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Ronaldo has repeatedly discussed his desire to return to Manchester one day, and may prove decisive when he considers leaving Spain.

He said:”Everyone knows that – I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.”
